The 7th Annual Network Hoops Netball Camp 2012

Network Hoops is proud to announce that the seventh annual Netball camp will be taking place at Wodson Park, Ware, Hertfordshire between Monday 30th July and Friday 3rd August 2012. The camp costs just £110 for five full days of fun. Camp Philosophy

The camp aims to encourage development of netball skills in an enjoyable environment. All coaches are committed to nurturing netballers across all abilities through a fun and varied programme.

                                 

Coaching Staff

All of the coaching will be carried out by qualified netball coaches with experience over many years as netball players, teachers and coaches.

                               

Head coach Gemma Cosentino is a highly experienced netball coach and player. Gemma has represented GB at Junior and England ‘A’ level. In 2009 she was Superleague runner-up with the Mavericks and in 2010 and 2011 with Surrey Storm. You can catch Gemma regularly starring on Sky Sports as she currently plays WA or GA for the Surrey Storm in the Superleague. Although absent for the 2012 camp Gemma is hoping to return in 2013. In her absence Sally Clay, now in her sixth year coaching on the camp, will lead the programme and she is ably supported by rturning coaches Sophie Banks and Ellie Gibbons.

Daily Schedule

Monday 30th July - Thursday 2nd August, 10am - 4pm
Drills, Matches, Competitions and Technical Improvement

In the mornings, coaching focuses on fundamentals such as passing, catching, peripheral vision, footwork, movement patterns, attacking skills and defending skills. Coaching sessions follow the format of either a circuit with various skills stations or drills focused on specific developmental objectives.

After lunch, the coaches will continue to provide expert advice on techniques, tactics and developing game-play competency.
